Since the summer is so long, it's usually a fairly fast transition when it finally hits with a the first good cold front that comes in from the north. Although in Sept. the nights will cool off so it's better. Even if it's still hot during the day, it cools off more at night and takes a bit longer to heat up during the day. Actually, I don't mind fall and the color changes - it's quite stunning. It just passes so quickly! Like our spring, fall is here for about 2 weeks, and then we go right into winter. That part's a bit depressing. But it's not over yet! Still more to see and do before summer is officially gone - even if we have to wear jackets and fleece to enjoy what's left! :) I guess if we had 90s on a regular basis, I’d be looking forward to fall too!
